The XR-X (europe) and XR-M (U.S.) are the same camera. These cameras
were introduced in 1987, and sold until sometime in the mid '90s. You
can get a faxed copy of the XR-M/XR-X user's manual via Ricoh's FAX-BACK
service - go to http://www.ricoh.com to find out how to use their

Hello!
Hit the Pentax web site. They have a 1-800 number you can call to get
manuals for your new/old pentax camera. They send you the manual, and
ask you to send back 2.00 to them to cover printing/shipping costs.
That's how I got the manual for my K1000.........

There are three folks who seem to have a lot of manuals available:
Give them a try.
From Medium Format Digest:
Owners Manual is available on the Kalimex Website for free. A British
company called Oldtimer Cameras in Watford Hertfordshire published
manuals for every camera that has ever existed at about 5 each.
Hope this helps.
From Nikon Digest:
You can order photocopied or original Nikon camera, lens and accessory
manuals (used, but good condition) or manuals for other camera makes from
John Craig, P.O. Box 1637, Torrington, Connecticut 06790, USA. Email:
[email protected] Website: www.craigcamera.com Phone: (860) 496-9791
Fax: (860) 496-0664
I ordered a manual for my Nikon EL2. I paid with a Visa card and it cost
20 dollars US (photocopies are cheaper) and 2 dollars shipping and
handling. The manual was obviously used but in very good condition.
I'd recommend this as a good source for hard to find manuals and repair
manuals. He has literally thousands and thousands listed in his catalog.

I think you can still order an owner's manual from Minolta USA via their
Web site:
Failing that, you could probably get by with operating instructions for any
other SRT: 100, 101, 102, 201, 202, SRT-mc, SRT Super, etc. All are
essentially the same chassis and operate the same way, differing only in
specific features such as top shutter speed, presence/absence of mirror
lockup, presence/absence of apertures visible in finder, etc.

I've been using an ETRS for several months now, and while I'm not a
Bronica expert I do know how to use this particular model and really
love it so far. FWIW, I also got mine used... came from a local camera
shop with body, WL finder, 75mm f/2.8 lens and 120 film back, all in
excellent condition for $750. I've since added several more backs, prism
finder (not metered, but hope to get an AE-II finder soon), and 150mm
f/3.5 lens.
The manual is available from Tamron/Bronica by calling (516) 694-8700. I
bought one from them about a month ago for $8.00 and it arrived in about
10 days from the call. At first it looks like an original manual but
closer inspection shows it to be an excellent photocopy. It's even bound
the same as the original!

Naydine,
The X-700 can take either Minolta MC or MD mount manual focus lenses.
The MD lenses were originally designed to support the shutter priority
exposure control on the XD series. They are also needed to use the
program exposure mode on the X700. There is an extra cam on the lens
that tells the camera when the lens is locked down to the smallest
aperture. The older MC lenses don't have the extra cam and can only be
used in aperture priority or manual exposure control. The oldest MD
lenses have a Rokkor-X designation and may not have the little tab that
locks the lens at it's smallest aperture. The newer ones just say
Minolta MD.
For a manual, go to the www.minoltausa.com, Support, Contact Us, and
click on instruction manuals on the bottom of the page. A new X-700
manual will run you $5 including shipping.

If you have a grafmatic back for your 4x5 or 2x3 camera and have always
wanted a manual, or indeed not known how to get it working, you can
download a scan of the original now from
http://www.pinkheadedbug.com//downloads/grafmatic.pdf
It's about 3.6 Mb unfortunately, but that's because i wanted you to have
all the detail in the line drawings. As you can see it's in PDF format so
you might need the acrobat reader to open it.
I am crossposting this to the LUG and Streetphoto cos I know there a quite
a few folks on these lists too using these wonderful bits of kit.
If you don't know WHAT a grafmatic back is, it's a six-sheet cut film
magazine which fits onto a graflok back and allows you to make six sheet
film exposures in about 30 seconds. They are one of the most ingenious
mechanical devices ever made IMO.

Anyone who wants an owners manual for a 500cm should just contact hasselblad
directly. When I purchased mine (a little over a year ago) I e-mailed
Hasselblad USA and they sent me one for $5.00 and included a manual for the
80mm 2.8 c lens for no extra charge. I also purchases "The Hasselblad Way"
by Freytag It helped me understand my camera much better than the owners
manual.

The Minolta USA website has many manuals online in .PDF format. The
SRT-202 manual is still available there and there is very little
difference between the SRTs. That might be helpful to you.

All the SRTs are very similar, and you could use pretty much any
manual for any model. The 200,201,202s are more fully featured than
the 101. It will be obvious which features you don't have.

The short answer is that the rights, obligations, and assets of Carl Zeiss
Jena VEB passed to control of the Zeiss Foundation in 1991, though the
State of Thuringia has some legal interest, as well. So, check with the
Carl Zeiss Museum for permission.
However, I doubt if anyone would object. We scan and pass these documents
around and have been doing so with the knowledge of Zeiss.

The manual is still there:

Click "Downloads (PDF files)", then "645". In the window that pops up click
the red down-arrow next to M645 1000S (On some systems you may need to
right-click on this one and choose "Save target as..." or similar). The
manual is around 2.53Mb.

For some strange reason, this is true for film cameras, lenses and
accessories, but not for CoolPix cameras, Digital SLR cameras, Speedlights,
Scanners, and Software. You can find them at:
http://www.nikon-euro.com/nikoneuro2/download/download_manuals100.htm
Not all languages are supported for all products. I lost my D1 manual before
I sold it, and used a downloaded manual while the printed manual was out of
stock at Nikon.
Once I have a broadband Internet connection, I plan to download all the
appropriate manuals and keep them on my laptop to make it easier to keep the
manuals with me while I travel.

Here is an online manual for the C330.
http://www.photonet.demon.nl/mamiya/c330s/
There is a section on the lenses that shows the current construction of the
lenses and their elements here
http://www.photonet.demon.nl/mamiya/c330s/page_31.html
On the basis of that you will hopefully be able to ensure those lens
elements are correctly aligned.

Here is a site with a pretty good selection of manuals available online
(links to sites with scanned manuals), including three Kodak Retina manuals.

Just in case anyone here doesn't already know, the main part of the site is
"The Classic Camera Repair Forum", a great place to exchange information on
how to fix our classics. There are even some repair manuals there.

Paul Provencher on the spotmatic list does a "pay per download" for his
reproduced spottie instruction manuals... maybe you can consider that.
Viewing is free, just that downloading or printing it out costs.... maybe
this
can be your business model.

You can download a 6008 pro manual from www.rflex.de. It also is in German
but didn't you plan to learn some German anyway? The Leica understands German
as well...

sorry, i sent out a blank email.
does the D have a set of steel rollers at the bottom? the F has
a set of rollers you need to feed the film thru. then the rollers
detect the additional thickness of the film starting, the counter
goes to "1".
there's a manual on the F, maybe it's similar.
http://www.linkclub.or.jp/~dmakos/square/manual/rolleitlr/index.html
go to page 8-9 to see how to load the camera.

Hasselblad, New Jersey, will happily sell you the manuals, as new literature
at $5 each, including shipping. Even Ebay prices do not match that!
Call, ask for Parts, and tell them what you want. They take credit cards
over the phone.

I just found a web site that translates documents online. You give it
a web address (of one of the russian manuals, for instance), click
on a button, and it translates the document into English or any other
language. Of course, some words can't be translated, and others at
translated strangely (!!!), but it's still an incredible site. The
translation only took a few seconds. Here's the site:

Have a look at www.perm.de/camera.htm - they have a lot of useful
stuff on Russian cameras, including a manual for the Zenit EM (but in
Russian) and a "how-to" guide in English. Don't know about a
Kalimar, though - isn't that just a Zenith by any other name?

Do you, by any chance have the manual consolidated into one pdf document.
If so, could you please send me a zipped file to [email protected].

I just got finished scanning, editing, then posting two entire old
instruction manuals that pertain to recent discussions on the list. Those
who have need of the books on the Minolta Autocord (early model) or Electro
Shot cameras, just go over to the files section of this list on Yahoo!

Hi,
I thought I would try a different supplier to add to the collective
knowledge. I bought an X-700 repair manual on CD from -
http://home.att.net/~rayhill/doghouse.htm
The service was good and the price low.
It is 30.4 Mbytes PDF and is usable but not very high resolution; the
trouble shooting sheets are also fuzzy.

Hi all,
I am a new member and this is my first posting. I purchased XD-11 repair
and service guide on CD on ebay from [email protected] . This is in PDF
format and 56 pages long. Every page and picture are perfectly clear and
legible. Shipping was fast. He may have other manuals and repair guides
available. I've enjoyed the discussions since I have joined and have
learned a lot.
Thanks,

While I was "surfing" this afternoon I stumbled accross this website
www.zenit.istra.ru/mans/index.html This seems to belong to Zenit

HOWEVER, the Zenit-E is in English!! Take a look. It may be helpful.
I don't recall if anyone else has reported this site, if so, well,
here it is again.
