Obsolete Film Formats (828)
This Haneel Stereo camera is interesting both as a fine example of a
roll-film stereo camera, and for its use of the now-obsolete 828 format film.
See our obsolete films pages for possible
sources and techniques to make respooled film and our film adapters tips.
The Tri-vision stereo camera was made by Haneel Tri-vision Corp. of Alhambra (Calif.)
in the 1953 time period. The camera produced stereo pairs of 28x30mm on 828 rollfilm.
The camera itself is made out of plastic and aluminum. The f/8 lenses can be stopped
down (but only 3 stops). A companion stereo viewer is also handy for viewing the stereo
slides it produces.
