Twin Lens Reflex Cameras FAQ
The Anscoflex and Anscoflex II Twin Lens Reflex cameras date from the
mid-1950s. These 6x6cm cameras use 620
rollfilm. What makes them
interesting and strange is how the front cover slides up to open the
finder hood and down to protect the optics. These cameras are made of
solid metal, despite appearances, and can be a good buy (around $25 US).
The Anscoflex II includes a yellow filter and closeup lens for black and
white and closeup use, controlled by the knobs shown in the photo above
on the lower front of the camera. The Anscoflex lacks these knobs on the
bottom and likewise lacks these filters and closeup lenses.
