Kuribayashi Camera Works of Tokyo is better known to most of us for making the Petri cameras.
The Semi First camera of 1935 produced 4.5x6cm images on 120 rollfilm, making it a nice option
for folder use today. See our folder FAQ for related notes and tips.
The BB Semi First of 1940 was also a 4.5x6cm folder, notable for being the first Japanese
camera to feature a built-in exposure meter of the extinction type (per McKeown's Price Guide
to Antique and Classic Cameras 1992-3, p. 207). There is a bit of collector interest in some
of these pre-war Japanese folders, so prices tend to be in the $150 and up range.
