Ricoh Camera Pages
The Ricohflex 6 Twin Lens Reflex cameras shown here, thanks to Linda
Larouche and Joel Alpers, is a good example of the popular copies of the
Rolleiflexes and
Rolleicords of the 1930s thru 1950s. Although the designs were
mechanically and optically simplified, the results were still quite good,
largely due to the larger image format of the rollfilm used in these
models. Although known today more for its copiers than its cameras, these
earlier Ricohflexes are reminders that many Japanese camera and optics
concerns such as Ricoh have long histories of producing a fascinating
array of inexpensive products for export markets.
Ricohflex VI camera, takes 120 film, 80mm f/3.5 lenses. Shutter speeds of 'B', 1/25, 1/50, and 1/100, apertures from f/3.5 - f/22. Mechanically excellent, cosmetically vg-exc except that some memory-challenged previous owner scratched "120" on the nameplate to the right of the "VI". Includes lens cap (shown).
Photo Notes:
This model VI Ricohflex camera is in good working condition. It measures 5'' tall (when closed) x 3'' x 4 1/4''.
