127 film sources (for 4x4cm films)
The Ricohmatic 44 dates from 1956, uses 127 rollfilm to
make 4x4cm exposures (cf. superslides, which fit in many 35mm slide projectors but are
twice the area and impact of regular 35mm slides). A Riken 60mm f/3.5 lens in a limited
speed range shutter (1/30th to 1/150th plus bulb) marks this as an economy model TLR.
Prices on the used market are typically $50 and up.
This is a neat little collectable 4X4 TLR. The jpeg shows the camera open and closed. It is auto-exposure via a selenium cell meter. The meter works fine. The shutter is working but may be slow. It is mostly very good condition.
