Medium Format Camera History
This 1933 reflex camera is a neat example of a 120 rollfilm camera (taking
6x9 exposures) of historical interest. The camera took 8 horizontal 6x9cm images
on 120 rollfilm. The lens was usually either a KW anastigmat 105mm f/6.3 or a
Steinheil 105mm f/4.5 in a three speed shutter offering only 1/25th to 1/100th second
plus Bulb. The top viewing hood (see photo) folds down flat. Prices on used market
range around $150 and up, depending on condition.
The camera appears very similar to the National Graflex 1934 Rollfilm SLR Camera which made 6x6cm exposures (see Graflex).
1933 for 6x9 exposures on 120 film. The camera is working!
